Up-and-coming hip-hop artist Emmanuel “King Rajo” Jones, based in Marondera, recently launched his Gang Rajo clothing line that has a range of merchandise.
In an interview with NewsDay Life & Style, King Rajo Jones said he wanted to bring an international touch to the local hip-hop industry by promoting music with fashion.
âEverything revolves around fashion and music trends. The clothing line offers a variety of products such as jeans, t-shirts, caps and shoes, âhe said.
“Hip-hop is more centralized in the capital, which leaves little chance to explore talent outside Harare, but I want to take the game to the next level and make Marondera recognized on the hip-hop scene because there is so much untapped talent. “
King Rajo Jones has said he is working on releasing a 14 track album titled Bloody stains which will be available on all digital stores.
âThe next album will be a diverse project that will be a mix of vernacular and English songs,â he said.
âI’m currently working with Tram Media Production on filming the visuals for the songs for the album and so far I’ve released videos, Surprises, Cold day, Asi Chii and Sei featuring Ghost Gang on Youtube.
King Rajo Jones has declared through his music that he seeks to preach the anti-drug message.
âI also advocate that young people refrain from using drugs and engaging in dangerous activities. I am ready to join forces with organizations and other artists to raise awareness against drug addiction.
