TOPSFIELD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – What started out as a way for Danielle Bradley to show her support for her favorite Boston sports teams has now grown into a successful apparel business.
Bradley, originally from Lynn, started adding different decorations to his Boston sports hats and t-shirts to stand out at sporting events.
“I just wanted something different,” she said WBZ’s Kendall Buhl (@WBZKendall). “I didn’t want to look like everyone else.”
Soon after he started selling his personalized sportswear at his fitness studio in Lynnfield, it started to gain the attention of some of the wives of players from Boston’s many sports teams. Erin Bradley, wife of former Red Sox outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr., asked him to get some custom clothing to wear to the games.
“I sent her a hat and it was just wildfire from there,” Danielle Bradley said.
She quickly received requests for more Red Sox wives and is now drawing designs for people across the country. The brand she created, SPahklD, now has 9,141 Instagram followers.
“I’m passionate about it, I love doing it and just being a business makes it even better,” Bradley said.
