A new clothing store has opened in a former candy store that closed during lockdown at Burton.
Fashion Palace has taken over the former Yum Yums confectionery, in rue de la Station, in the city center.
The new store specializes in Italian, French, Turkish and Polish brands including LA MU Company, My Voga and Paparazzi Fashion, with products changing to meet the latest demands of seasonal trends, a spokesperson said.

Fashion Palace owners Katarzyna Kozlak and Kamila Mozdzen said: âBetween us we have many years of experience in providing high level personalized customer service. We love to interact with customers and pride ourselves on being able to offer a dedicated boutique service that offers friendly fashion help and advice. We know that providing this level of service will result in total customer satisfaction and, in turn, customer retention.
âWe chose to open our store on the main shopping street in downtown Burton because the location is both highly visible and easily accessible to reach as many new customers as possible.
âWe would like to thank Rushton Hickman’s agent, Simon Walker, for all of his assistance in securing the hire from start to finish. His service to us was both friendly and of a very high standard. What was especially important to us for our schedule was that he always responded quickly to us on everything. “
Simon Walker, commercial real estate agent for Rushton Hickman, who leased the property, said: âAnother successful rental of a commercial unit in Burton is great news.

Better yet, a fashion boutique offering customers personalized service and a welcome change from browsing fashion clothes on the internet. With a choice of restaurants on offer at this location, which should expand from Other rentals that we have agreed upon recently, it is great news for adding variety to the local community’s shopping experience.
Graham Bancroft, Principal at Rushton Hickman, added: âSince the restrictions were lifted, we have seen an increase in demand for commercial properties in the area. The 207 Station Street rental continues our streak of success on similar properties in the area, which is a real boost to the downtown area.
