At just 14 years old, Valentina Pinault is already on the cover of Vogue.

Salma Hayek lookalike daughter featured in the May 2022 issue of Vogue Mexico alongside her famous mother, with the two matching logo designs by Gucci (whose parent company, Kering, is run by Hayek’s husband, François-Henri Pinault).

In the accompanying joint interview, which was conducted in Spanish, the duo opened up about work, their wardrobes and more.

“We’re fighting over clothes because she’s taking everything from my closet,” Hayek, 55, told the magazine. “Ever since she was little, she never let me choose her clothes, and I always liked that.”

Valentina added that she doesn’t care much about designer brands.

“The truth is when it comes to clothes, I love hers, but in general I always wear what I like. I hardly notice the brand,” the teenager said. I also like to combine and wear vintage pieces.”

It’s clear that Valentina inherited her mother’s love for fashion. In 2019 — when she was just 11 — she accompanied Hayek to Milan Fashion Week. And last month, she and her 21-year-old half-sister Mathilde Pinault joined the “Frida” star on the front row of the Balenciaga show in Paris.

Although Valentina may raid her mother’s closet on occasion, she hands out beauty advice in return.

“She’s really good at makeup,” Hayek revealed. “I’m good at makeup, but now she’s teaching me.”

But Valentina isn’t about to go full face: ‘I don’t do it to look really pretty or because I want to get rid of blemishes,’ she said, adding that she’ll sometimes skip concealer “because I think dark circles add something else.”

While fans can expect to see the mother-daughter duo on more red carpets in the future, it looks like Valentina could also be forging her own path in Hollywood.

“I would like to be an actress and then a director,” said the teenager, adding that a career in the industry chosen by her mother “makes sense”.
