The 40-year-old professional athlete addressed a large crowd during the ceremony, during which she sat down for a chat with Harper’s Bazaar digital director Nikki Ogunnaike.
The tennis player used her time at the event to talk about her work on her clothing brand, S By Serena.

Her gorgeous brown to blonde hair was left flowing and cascaded down her shoulders and back.

Williams talked about working on S By Serena during her Glam Slam appearance and expressed via Yahoo! News that she and her collaborators wanted to lead by example by creating size-conscious clothing.
“We just don’t want to limit anyone. Everyone has the opportunity to look good, no matter who you are, where you’re from, what you look like or what your body is,’ she said.
The professional athlete also opened up about her style influences at the event.
“In the beginning, I was always inspired by pop culture and everything that happened in the 80s and 90s. I’m still very inspired by pop culture,” she said.

She added, “Some of the most amazing designs and sportswear are honestly at Eleven.”
