Stunning Outfits in Fashion History: Venus and Serena in Matching Pink Outfits at the Teen Choice Awards

There are some really great celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you’re desperately trying to recreate at home. In ‘Great outfits in fashion history‘, the editors of Fashionista revisit their all-time favorite obscenes.

Over the years, Venus and Serena Williams have given fans plenty of fashion inspiration, both on and off the court. They have built long-standing relationships with the world’s top luxury houses and are regulars in the front rows of fashion weeks, and have even founded their own fashion labels (EleVen by Venus Williams and S by Serena, respectively ). They each have their own aesthetic and preferences, and they’ve always let them shine through, even when deciding to coordinate for the red carpet.

A particularly great pairing moment occurred at the 2000 Teen Choice Awards, when the two won surfboards in the “Choice Female Athletes” category. Venus opted for a sequin strapless corset-style top with matte faux leather low-rise flared pants (plus a silver chain belt, because 2000) and heeled sandals, all in pink. Serena stuck to the same color story, but in a lighter pastel hue for her strapless mini dress, with an embroidered flower detail on the hip and the lesser asymmetrical hemline. They both finished their outfits with shimmering silver chokers.
