UKRAINE. As support for Travel Retail United*, the fundraising campaign launched by The Moodie Davitt Report to help the relief effort in Ukraine, grows, we are also reporting today on other travel retail responses and broader brand communities to the humanitarian crisis.

As mentioned, we have now added a Just give page to simplify donations (they can be anonymous or nominative).

These donations, along with those already received, have seen the fund grow encouragingly.

Former BAA Group Retail Director Brian Collie and his wife Josie, who highlighted the proud humanitarian heritage of the travel retail industry. are among those who gave generously.

Travel retail as a community can do more. Scroll down for more details on how you can contribute.

International diplomatic supplies

International Diplomatic Supplies (IDS) Managing Director Patrick Doyle today announced on LinkedIn that his company is today returning its exceptional quota of duty-free goods to the Russian Embassy in London.

He said: “They represent a government that deliberately targets and murders women and children in Ukraine. The profit is simply not worth it. »

*How you can support Travel Retail United

  • Donors can donate anonymously via The Moodie Davitt Report or directly via Just Giving below

Or

  • As noted, the Moodie Davitt report is also producing a special apolitical publication to accompany the project. Instead of a traditional advertisement, donors (individuals or companies) can provide an image (photo, painting or drawing) or writing (poem, excerpt or original message) to be accompanied by a subtly positioned brand logo ( if necessary).

There is no set price for any donation or publicity, but be as generous as possible. The Moodie Davitt Report will make a substantial cash donation and absorb all freelance design, writing and distribution costs. Every penny raised will go to the fund with proper documentation provided to each donor.
