WB’s New Hot Topic Horror Collection Features ‘Elm Street’ Jeans

The world of The Walking Dead is coming to an end this year for Daryl, Carol, Maggie and Rosita on the AMC show. Elsewhere, the dead continue to drag themselves towards new horizons. With new shows, drinks and a game, of sorts, coming.

Skybound and Genvid have announced a massively interactive live event based on the world of Robert Kirkman’s zombie epic. Title The Walking Dead: Last Mile, this Facebook exclusive will be a game and interactive TV show hybrid. It will feature new protagonists and a story that will unfold live minute by minute. Its mix of spectacle and play means people can choose to just watch the action unfold or get involved in a variety of ways.

The gaming aspect of the project will be handled by Pipeworks Studios, which helped create Genvid’s previous Facebook exclusive MILE rival peaks.

Genvid says Massively Interactive Live Events, or MILE, is an entirely new format for interactive entertainment. They merge live stream events with shared experiences to give attendees the opportunity to have a real impact on the event with their actions. With The Walking Dead: Last Mileplayers could end up deciding the fate of individual characters.

In a statement prepared for the announcement, Robert Kirkman expressed enthusiasm for the project.

“We are thrilled to unveil this new MILE experience set in The Walking Dead universe, where fans can play games and influence this new world and its inhabitants as a community. With The Walking Dead: Last Mile, audience members can stream a living, breathing world of The Walking Dead, working collectively and individually to impact the story at every turn. We’re excited to work with our partners Genvid and Facebook to bring this pioneering vision to life. .

There are currently no details on what the plot will be, or how long the event will last. We also don’t know if there are any established characters involved. The title image, however, suggests that we’ll see some wintry scenes along the way. Seeing as it starts in the summer, maybe that’s a clue as to its potential endgame?

The event will kick off this summer on Facebook Gaming and Facebook Watch, with more details to be revealed in the coming months.
